This short note reports the results of petrographic and geochemical studies of plutonic xenoliths collected at Deception Island. Data are discussed within the frame of the regional geophysical context and allow the authors to conclude that the plutonic xenoliths of Deception Island come from layers belonging to a crystalline complex underlying the volcanic island.
